Learn More About Our Course!

The course starts out with firearm safety relative to being in a 360* environment in public. We then move the shooters on to drawing safely from concealment and proper push out/presentation of the gun.

Then shooters will get into tactics, shooting around cover/concealment, shooting on the move, transitioning through multiple targets and much more.

Upon completion of this course, shooters will ultimately feel more confident and proficient in a CCW situation with their firearm and the tactics to come out on the winning end both tactically and legally. The course is taught in a single or group setting.

CCW TRAINING – What You Need To Know To Succeed!

Carrying a concealed weapon (CCW) can provide individuals with a sense of personal security and protection in certain situations. However, obtaining a CCW permit is not a straightforward process in many states, including New Jersey. NJ has strict regulations and requirements for obtaining a CCW permit, and proper training is an essential part of the application process. In this article, we will explore what you need to know about CCW training in NJ and the steps to pass the exam successfully.

The Importance of CCW Training:

New Jersey places a high emphasis on ensuring that individuals who wish to carry a concealed weapon are properly trained and qualified. The primary goal of CCW training is to ensure public safety and responsible firearm ownership. Proper training equips applicants with the necessary knowledge and skills to handle firearms safely, understand legal responsibilities, and respond appropriately in high-stress situations.

Requirements for CCW Training in NJ:

To apply for a CCW permit in New Jersey, you must meet certain eligibility criteria, which may include being at least 21 years old, having a clean criminal record, and demonstrating a justifiable need for carrying a concealed weapon. Additionally, applicants must undergo thorough CCW training, which covers both theoretical and practical aspects of firearm handling.

Finding a Qualified CCW Training Provider:  IE.. Duncan Defense!

CCW training in NJ must be conducted by certified instructors or training academies recognized by the state. It is essential to choose a reputable and qualified training provider to ensure that the instruction meets the necessary standards. Researching online reviews, asking for recommendations, and checking the credentials of the instructor are crucial steps in finding the right CCW training program.  Duncan Defense would love to help you qualify and succeed!

The CCW Exam:

After completing the required training, applicants will have to take a written exam to demonstrate their understanding of the course material. The exam typically covers topics related to firearm safety, state laws, and self-defense principles. Passing the exam is a critical step in the CCW application process.

Continuing Education:

CCW training is not a one-time event in NJ. Permit holders are often required to undergo periodic refresher courses to stay updated on changing laws, safety practices, and advanced firearm techniques. Staying informed and continually improving one’s skills is a responsibility that comes with the privilege of carrying a concealed weapon.
